Is Valois free to join?

No. Membership carries an annual fee and a one-time Circle Admission fee, the details of which are discussed with admitted members. Neither is published publicly.

You may apply directly or be referred by an existing Valois member or Yorkseed network contact. All submissions are reviewed individually. A reference check is conducted discreetly. We do not follow up unless we intend to proceed. There is no timeline. The process moves at our pace, not yours.

What does a reference check involve?

We conduct a quiet verification of your professional background, capital relationships, and where relevant, the person who referred you. This is done without announcement. You will not be asked to supply documentation at the application stage.

What does Valois look for in a member?

Four things, weighed together rather than scored individually. Standing: professional reputation and verifiable conduct. Relevance: genuine, active capital activity, not adjacent interest. Discretion: a demonstrated respect for confidentiality and non-solicitation. And judgment: formed through reference and conversation, whether someone belongs in the room. Meeting every criterion does not guarantee admission; the Circle's composition and timing factor into every decision.

Who is Valois for?

Valois admits two categories of principal: Allocators (family offices, HNWI, UHNWI, endowments, sovereign wealth, and LPs) and Fund Managers (GPs running dedicated funds across private equity, alternatives, or fund of funds). Venture capital funds and angel investors fall outside our current scope. Every seat in the Circle is a capital seat. If you are unsure whether you qualify, you likely do not, yet.

Invitation to closed events: private dinners, curated access at global gatherings (Davos, F1, the Met, Frieze, and others). Private deal flow across venture, private equity, and alternative assets. GP/LP introductions and co-investment opportunities. Access to vertical-specific discussion salons. All Valois members also receive full access to Yorkseed Connect Capital Circle.

Yorkseed Connect is the venture intelligence and relationship platform that sits beneath the Valois Circle. It includes the member directory, deal hub, connection intelligence tools, and investor matching. Valois membership includes full Capital Circle access to Yorkseed Connect.

Where does Valois operate?

Valois operates globally, with a presence across major international cities including New York, Paris, London, Dubai, Singapore, and select hubs across Europe, Asia, and beyond. The Circle also extends through private gatherings, strategic partnerships, and curated introductions across a wider international network.

While our presence is global, relationships remain intentionally personal and locally cultivated.

Can I nominate someone?

Members may nominate individuals they believe would meaningfully contribute to the Circle. All nominations are reviewed privately and remain subject to the same admission standards and curation process.

Admission decisions are confidential. Individuals are welcome to reapply should their profile, company, investment activity, or circumstances meaningfully evolve over time.

Timing, composition of the Circle, and category balance all factor into admission decisions.

Is the deal flow on Valois investment advice?

Accepted Answer

No. Deal flow presented within the Circle is for informational purposes only. Nothing constitutes investment advice, a solicitation, or an offer to buy or sell any security. Valois and Yorkseed are not registered investment advisers. Members are solely responsible for their own due diligence and investment decisions.

Are deals on the platform verified?

Deal submissions are member-generated and reviewed for appropriateness before being listed. They are not independently verified for accuracy or completeness. All investments carry risk, including the risk of total loss.

What are the discussion salons?

Private, vertical-specific exchanges among approved members, organised by sector as the Circle grows. Reading is open to all members; posting requires invitation from the salon's host. New salons open by curation, not by request. Members may propose themselves as a host from within any existing salon.
