How we handle your information.

Valois is operated by Yorkseed Inc. ("Yorkseed", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By submitting an application or using the Valois member portal, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
When you apply for membership, we collect your name, email address, city, professional category, and any optional information you provide in your application (referred by, note).
When you access the member portal, we collect authentication tokens and basic session information. We do not collect payment card details directly — payments are handled by our payment processor.
We do not use third-party analytics tools or advertising trackers on the Valois site.
How we use your information
Application information is used solely to evaluate your request for membership. If admitted, your profile information (name, city, professional category, bio, LinkedIn) is displayed in the Valois member directory, which is visible only to other admitted members.
We use your email address to send you a login link when you access the portal, and to communicate Circle updates, event invitations, and deal opportunities. We do not send unsolicited commercial emails.
We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Member directory
The Valois member directory is accessible only to admitted, authenticated members. It is not indexed by search engines. Member names and affiliations are never published publicly by Valois.
Members may request removal from the directory at any time by contacting us. This does not terminate membership.
Data retention
Application data for non-admitted applicants is retained for 12 months and then deleted. Member data is retained for the duration of membership and for 24 months following termination, after which it is deleted unless retention is required by law.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at membership@thevalois.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Security
Access to the member portal is protected by magic-link authentication — no password is stored. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store authentication tokens beyond their expiry.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to members by email. Continued use of the Valois portal after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
